Abandoned Farmhouse Renovation-Addition
This home located in Cameron, WI had been abandoned for many years until we received a call from a new client, asking us to stop by at take a look at this home that he was thinking of purchasing. Even though the property was completely run down, he had a vision to completely restore the home to it's original beauty, along with putting a large addition on to give them a beautiful master bedroom suite upstairs, and well as the gourmet kitchen and sitting room that they had dreamed of just off the kitchen. The addition also included a deck off the kitchen with a tuck under double car garage. We began this project the fall of 2010 and it was completed the following spring of 2011. It was a very extensive renovation project both inside and outside. We began with demolition and stripping walls of the old plaster & lathe coverings down to studs, so we could then update the wiring & plumbing systems in the home. We moved some wall spaces around and in the upstairs area created a beautiful master bedroom suite with sitting room, and private bathroom. An addition was put on the home to add space for the gourmet kitchen, and off-kitchen family room as well as tuck under two car garage. The exterior of the home was completely renovated as well with new energy efficient window & doors, styrofoam insulation, vented metal soffit system, decks & open air porch, and seamless steal siding. We not only improved this home cosmetically, but extensively improved the systems of the home, with an up to date electrical system, plumbing, HVAC, etc which made this home state of the art and energy efficient. It is a project that our Valleyview craftsmen are extremely proud of, and our clients have loved and enjoyed their beautiful home since the day it was complete.
